A Message About Pre-Camp!
Dear Parents & Guardians,
Hello! My name is Annie Warchol, and I am the advisor to the Pre-Camp Program here at Springfield College. I would like to share some information with you about the Pre-Camp Program. Pre-Camp is a student-run program for first-year students designed to help your student get a head start in making new friends and getting acquainted with the Springfield College community before New Student Orientation begins.
Pre-Camp will take place at East Campus from Tuesday, August 27 through Friday, August 30, 2013. Unfortunately, due to spacing we will only be able to take 80 new students for this program. Your student will need to write a personal statement on why they would like to attend Pre-Camp, and also respond to one of the following statements.
1. Everybody makes a difference.
2. Success is built on relationships.
3. You can add value to everything.
4. You can reinvent yourself continually.
After submitting their personal statement to our office, you will be notified by e-mail within a week that we have received it. Decisions on who will be attending this year’s Pre-Camp will be sent in the mail to your home the week of July 15.
If your student is planning on being a fall athlete, they are encouraged to apply as well, but your student will need to check with their coach first to make sure that this will not interfere with their pre-season schedule.
If you have any additional questions, please call me directly at 413-748-3143 or e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hope you enjoyed your time at SOAR!
