About the Townhouses
Built in 1991, the Townhouses served as the first apartment-style residence hall on campus. The Townhouses are next to Stagg Field, where most fall and spring sporting events are played. With twenty houses attached by a conference center, the Townhouses provide a memorable living experience for seniors. Conveniently located next to the Allied Health building, it is a prime home for physical therapy, occupational therapy, and physician assistant majors. The Townhouses are open during major vacation periods, with the exception of Thanksgiving weekend and Christmas week.
The Townhouses are comprised of twenty houses in one complex with a population of 160 students. Each house is three stories with a kitchen and living room on the first floor. The second and third floors contain four bedrooms and a bathroom on each floor. All of the houses have access to a backyard, where students can enjoy cooking, socializing, or even watching a sporting event. There is a main lounge in the basement of the Conference Center. There, students can play a game of pool or watch their favorite shows on a big-screen TV.
There are many exciting events which take place at the Townhouses, including:
- Fall Fest – This event is sponsored by the Living Center, Townhouses, and Senior Suites to bring students over to the Senior Village in celebration of the fall season. The event serves a variety of food, music, and other activities.
- Special Events –Alumni events, wine tastings, and Senior Week are all hosted by the Townhouses.
