Emergency Medical Services Management As an emergency medical services management major, you'll be prepared to perform emergency care safely and effectively as part of an emergency medical services team. You will also learn the principles of administration and management of these services in the public and private sectors. This undergraduate program is unique in the Northeast.

Rehabilitation and Disability Studies As a rehabilitation and disability studies major, you'll gain the experience and knowledge to work with people in psychosocial and medical rehabilitation. Students will learn about medical diseases and chronic illness, developmental disabilities (e.g., autism) that affect children and families, and assessment and counseling techniques. Completing this major will enable you to work in private, public, or community-based rehabilitation services or continue your academic study in graduate school.

Communication Disorders As a communication disorders major, you'll gain the skills necessary to pursue graduate work in speech-language pathology or audiology, or for a career as a speech language pathology assistant. You'll become prepared to work with individuals with a wide variety of communication disorders, in hospitals and throughout the human services field.

Health Science/General Studies As a health science/general studies major, you'll experience a flexible program of study and interdisciplinary educational experiences relevant to health and human services fields. This undergraduate program will prepare you to establish goals and gain preparation for career opportunities after college.

Physician Assistant As a physician assistant major, you'll gain the preparation necessary to be able to provide a broad range of primary health care and medical services. Students have the opportunity to prepare for careers in this discipline through both undergraduate and graduate entry points.

Occupational Therapy As an occupational therapy major, you'll learn the skills necessary to help individuals accomplish daily living tasks, learn new occupational skills and, overall, enhance their quality of life. The Occupational Therapy Program at Springfield College provides both undergraduate and graduate entry points.

Physical Therapy As a student in the physical therapy program, you'll be well-prepared to work with patients who have impairments, limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes. The Physical Therapy Program at Springfield College offers the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree with both undergraduate and graduate entry points.

Rehabilitation Counseling and Services As a rehabilitation counseling and services graduate student, you'll be prepared for many excellent career opportunities in a variety of settings ranging from developmental disabilities to vocational rehabilitation and mental health. Graduates of the program have gone on to serve as counselors working with diverse populations, and in leadership positions around the country.
