Occupational Therapy Program at Springfield College
for Prospective Graduate Students
are scheduled for the following dates:

All sessions will begin at 4:00 p.m. in the Allied Health Sciences Center. Please call Deborah Snyder in the OT Department at (413) 748-3581 to register for a session or for further information.
The OT program admits graduate students for Fall entry only. The official deadline for applications to be received in the Graduate Admissions Office is January 1. All supporting credentials (transcripts, references, etc.) must be received by February 1 for an applicant to be considered.
Fully encompassing Springfield College's humanics philosophy, the occupational therapy programs emphasize that health and learning are best gained through an approach that unifies spirit, mind, and body. The over-reaching goal of the programs is to foster in each student a strong sense of professional identity embracing the basic tenets and ethical practices of the profession.

| Undergraduate entry Students entering as first year undergraduates may complete a bachelor of science in health science and a master of science in occupational therapy in five and a half years. The professional portion of the program begins in the student's fourth year and continues through one and a half graduate years, including two summers. |

Graduate entry
The OT department offers an entry-level master's degree program designed for people with bachelor's degrees in varying majors who wish to become occupational therapists. Students can earn a master of science (M.S.) in Occupational Therapy in as little as 28 months, or can extend their program to three, four, or even five years by attending part-time.

Our Entry Level Master’s Program in occupational therapy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education of the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc., 4720 Montgomery Lane, P. O. Box 31220, Bethesda, MD 20824-1220; (301) 652-2682.
Certification
Graduates are eligible to sit for the national certification examination required to practice occupational therapy, offered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, 800 S. Frederick Avenue, Suite 200, Gaithersburg, MD 20877-4150; (301) 990-7979.
