The LACES Program at Springfield College
Leaders in Academics, Community Engagement and Service
LACES is a comprehensive youth development program for children ages 12-16. The goals of the program are to help youth develop as community leaders and engaged citizens. We accomplish these goals by working with our partners in the schools, recreation, and other organizations to leverage funding and expertise. LACES currently includes a Two-Week Summer Experience and an Academic Year Program. LACES operates as a demonstration site in Springfield, Massachusetts, by providing training, evaluation, and other services to partners. Thus far, nearly 1500 area youth have benefitted from the LACES program.
