Microsoft Vulnerability Patch Information Page

A vulnerability in the Microsoft Windows operating system was discovered in October 2008. Microsoft released a patch to address this vulnerability. Click on the link below to download the patch. The download and installation should take less than 5 minutes. Follow the instructions below to install the patch.

1. Click on the "Download Patch" link to download the file. [Download Patch]
2. Click on Run on the File Download Screen (Fig 1.)


3. Click on Run to confirm (Fig. 2)



Important Note: If you see the following message on your screen after you click Run, this patch does not apply to your system and you can skip the rest of the installation, otherwise proceed to step 4.


4. Click on Next on the Security Update screen (Fig 3.)


5. Click on “I Agree” and Next on the License Agreement screen. (Fig 4.)


6. Click Finish
