Open House at Springfield College School of Social Work

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Jan. 11, 2007 -- The Springfield College School of Social Work will present an open house on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007, from 4 to 6 p.m., at its facilities at the Brennan Center, 45 Island Pond Road, Springfield. Springfield College offers the only master of social work weekend program in New England. Students can complete the weekend program in three years, or the full-time program in two years on weekdays. The combined master of social work/juris doctorate is four-year program in conjunction with Western New England College School of Law. Springfield College also offers an advanced standing master of social work program for qualified graduates of bachelor of social work programs that are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

At the informal information session, prospective graduate students will have opportunities to meet faculty members and current students, learn about financial aid, and tour the school’s facilities. The Springfield College School of Social Work is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, the official accrediting body for social work programs in the United States. Graduates are eligible for professional social work licensure in all 50 states. The MSW/JD program is accredited by the American Bar Association and is a member of the Association of American Law Schools. Graduates are eligible for professional social work licensure and bar examination.
