U.S. News Ranks Springfield College on Top Tier in New 2008 America’s Best Colleges Issue
According to Springfield College President Richard B. Flynn, “We are very pleased that the U.S. News rankings continue to recognize the quality of education at Springfield College. The America’s Best Colleges annual issue provides useful information for high school students in their searches for an undergraduate program. For each student, finding the college that is the right fit involves many factors and personal preferences in addition to measures reported in U.S. News including a college’s academic programs, activities, sports, the feel of campus life, location, cost, and availability of financial aid.
“For more than a century, Springfield College has been the right choice for students preparing for leadership roles in the human helping professions who seek a balanced education of spirit, mind and body. We’re committed to continuing our top tier excellence.”
U.S. News annually ranks all accredited colleges and universities in the nation by several key measures of quality, giving its greatest weight to the opinions of college leaders in positions to judge other schools’ undergraduate academic excellence. Other key measures include graduation and retention rates, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources, and alumni giving.
