Housing

The College believes that the residential life experience is an important facet of their Springfield College education. Therefore, undergraduate students are required to live on campus for their first three years. All housing rates are billed per semester.

Residence Life Cancellation Policies

The College has a three year residency requirement for Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors. All housing contracts are for the full academic year.

Seniors who have signed a Housing Contract and wish to cancel must notify the Residence Life Office in writing and the following penalties will be assessed.

After room draw card has been submitted but before the actual room draw process
$600 + $200 non-refundable deposit
After Thanksgiving Break but before end of Fall Semester $1000 + $200 non-refundable deposit
After Fall Semester but before May 1st $1500 + $200 non-refundable deposit
July 1st and before 1st day of classes *30%

*Percentage of housing cost for the academic year.

Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors who have signed a Housing Contract and wish to cancel must notify the Residence Life Office in writing and the following penalties will be assessed. 

Before May 16th
$200.00
May 16th - July 1st $400.00
July 2nd – October 17th *30%
After October 17th   *100%

Graduate students:  Refer to lease for cancellation fees

Students who officially withdraw from the College should refer to the Tuition and Housing Refund Policy
