Humanics in Action Day - Community Service Fair & Afternoon Activities: Create, Reflect, Learn & Serve
Choose one or all of the following activities which will either leave from or take place on the track. Look for signs on the track for information.CREATE

"Made for Mexico" t-Shirt Project Design and decorate a t-shirt to be given to a child in Mexico. These shirts will be delivered by the Springfield College Outreach Committee (SCOC), which is a group of students volunteering in a rural area in Mexico during spring break. Information on SCOC will also be available. |

Friendship Bracelets Create a friendship bracelet to give to children at local Springfield Elementary Schools. Instructions, supplies, and information will be provided on the track. |
REFLECT

So you just volunteered in the community- So what? What did you do, what did you see and what does it mean to you? Your site leader will conduct a reflection activity at the location of your service project. |
LEARN

A Guided Bus Tour of the Old Hill and Upper Hill neighborhoods will be given. This will provide you with the opportunity to learn more about the neighborhoods and see the completed Humanics and Action Day projects. Announcements will be made as to when the tours are departing. |
SERVE

So you volunteered for Humanics in Action Day- Now what? Continue your service throughout the year either at your HIA site or another location. Agency representatives will be on hand to talk about on-going volunteer opportunities at their sites and sign up potential volunteers. |
