Massasoit Hall
About Massasoit Hall
Massasoit Hall was built in 1960. This co-ed, first-year residence hall has a population of just 108 residents. The four floors are single-sex, and many students prefer living in a quieter and less populated building. Massasoit Hall is close to Marsh Memorial and only yards from Cheney Hall, the College’s dining facility, and other academic buildings. Reed Green is also located just outside the building where students can enjoy playing games and laying out in the sun.Residents are able to gain the full first-year experience when living in Massasoit Hall because all of the rooms have double occupancy. Each floor has its own lounge with a sitting area where students can gather and socialize. The first floor has a main lounge with a big-screen TV, a pool table, and a ping pong table. The second-floor lounge gives students access to the patio, where some student programs and barbeques occur.
There are many exciting events in Massasoit Hall, including:
- Mass Mahem – A schedule of events that lasts a week long where floors compete against each other for bragging rights.
- Miss Massasoit – An annual non-traditional beauty pageant where the men take the stage to show off their talents and style.
