Room Draw Selection Process

2009-10 Living Center Mixed-Roster-Approved Selection

Room Draw Selection Process Photo
Freshmen and sophomore room draw takes place in March, for upcoming sophomores and juniors. Room draw numbers will be posted online for all students that have not participated in room draw as of February. For seniors, you will not be reissued a new number, as you will use the number you received in the fall.

Also available online will be a Room Draw packet and timeline. Please read these documents thoroughly, as they have pertinent information that you need with regards to the room draw process.

Once you are issued a number, you will identify where you would like to live, as well as the name(s) of your roommate(s). If you want to live in the Living Center, you will need to turn in a completed roster along with housing agreements for everyone on the roster by the deadline indicated on the timeline. For all other residence halls, please refer to the timeline for the designated time and place where you’ll need to be to choose a room. If your roommate is abroad during this process, please have them e-mail a letter to the Office of Housing and Residence Life at reslife@spfldcol.edu, which gives you permission to choose their residence hall/room for the upcoming year. Both your name and your roommate’s name, along with both of your student ID numbers, must be in the letter.

Please choose your roommates wisely, as no changes are allowed until after the first two weeks of the fall semester.
