Fellow classmates, can you believe that as we speak, we are less than two months away from our fifty-fifth gala class reunion june 4-7. Registration will be at carlyle foyer, alumni hall.

The best news first-----your reunion committee has nailed down the newest springfield college construction for our banquet site.---the arthur linkletter foyer at the fuller art center .it is said to be the most beautiful spot on campus and the class of ’54 will be the first class to utilize it. It promises to be a memorable event! Dr. Ed Sims’51 will be the speaker at the banquet and Rev. Dave Hill ’54 will give the invocation.

See below for the list of classmates who plan to attend Reunion!

----We hope you will join us! It is not too late to make your reservation at the hilton garden inn, 800 west columbus ave. (413)-886-8000. Ask for the springfield college class of ’54 block. Reservations must be made by May 14th.

In regard to transportation from the Hilton Garden to the campus for our banquet---the college has pledged to provide a limited shuttle service that evening. We are sure that with car pooling and members of the committee who have volunteered to provide rides for stragglers, any misgivings you may have had regarding transportation issues should be quelled. In recognition of 55 years of women in residence at Springfield College, the committee has agreed to provide $1,000 from its treasury as a one time award to a worthy current female student. There will be adequate funds remaining in our treasury to support our sixtieth reunion in 2014. (This is a special award from our class, above and beyond what we individually give to the annual fund.) With the large number of fun events scheduled, we have been entertaining the idea of a luncheon at the Student Prince on Friday. Please let us know by email or phone so we can make adequate reservations. (we don’t want anyone left out) As a surprise----remember those great straw hats we had for our fiftieth reunion? We found that we had 20 hats in storage. They will go on sale at the registration desk for $5.40 each (get it--class of ’54) or best offer!!! By now we should all have received registration forms for the reunion please fill out and return as soon as possible------and also include a statement giving the college permission to publish your email address. We can not print your email address without your written consent.
