Voyager Camp (Ages 11-13)
Voyager Camp is a new addition to our adventure based programs! Voyager Camp is designed as a transitional program for young campers, advancing them from day camp without creating the pressure that an overnight trip can bring. Campers ageseleven to thirteen will be able to take their first step toward becoming an independent adventurer through the guidance and support of the Camp Massasoit Staff.Throughout the two week session, campers will participate in on-site skill development and take off-site day trips to further their knowledge and awareness of the outdoors. Through such education-based trips, campers will continue to hone their team-building and communication skills, while simultaneously increasing their knowledge of the environment. Each session has a predetermined theme that will introduce the campers to more adventure-based excursions, through safe and progressively designed adventure based activities. A more detailed itinerary will be sent home during the first few days of the session your child is enrolled in.Voyager Camp is open to twelve campers per session, and space is filled on a first-come, first-served basis
Voyager Camp follows the hours of our day-camp schedule and runs Monday through Friday, with the camp day beginning at 8:15 a.m. and ending with camper pick-up at 4:15 p.m. Voyager programs may have some trips that begin earlier and return later. Camp Massasoit also provides optional early and late care services at no additional cost. Early care begins at 7:30 a.m., and late care extends to 5:15 p.m. Campers are required to bring their own snacks and lunches, but lunchtime milk and refrigeration is provided.
