Greetings to the class of 2013

We realize that you’ve received piles of letters from Springfield College over the past few months, but we can assure you that this one is a little bit different. As members of the Class of 2013, we would like to invite you to participate in this wonderful opportunity called Pre-Camp!

As students ourselves, we understand that it is not easy to leave home four days earlier than your friends. We remember having those same feelings. We were confused, nervous, and hesitant, and we had many unanswered questions. (Does any of this sound familiar?) Pre-Camp exists for exactly these reasons! Seventy first-year students will be able to attend this program, which is staffed by upperclassmen who have all been to Pre-Camp. We are looking forward to giving you the chance to meet new people and learn more about yourself and Springfield College before diving into campus life.

Pre-Camp will be held Tuesday, September 1, through Friday, September 4, at Springfield College’s East Campus. You will return to the main campus on Friday morning to join the rest of the incoming class to begin New Student Orientation.

Please read through this brochure. Pre-Camp is an awesome experience, and we encourage you to complete the application and return it as soon as possible, as Pre-Camp can only accommodate seventy students. The deadline is Friday, July 10. Upon acceptance, you will be given more details, as well as the name of your Pre-Camp leader, no later than the week of August 3.

A registration fee of $80 (to cover the cost of food and activities) must be paid upon your acceptance. If you have any questions or would like further information about Pre-Camp 2009, please feel free to contact:
