Entering its eleventh year at Springfield College, the AmeriCorps Program will enroll up to 100 graduate students across academic disciplines to serve 900 hours in the city of Springfield this academic year.
AmeriCorps members will be academic coaches, capacity builders, youth leadership coordinators, counselors, and case managers in more than forty neighborhood schools, community centers, and health care organizations. In some cases, AmeriCorps placement may be combined with academic requirements. As members use their talents to strengthen the community, they also gain experience, make lifelong connections, and receive an annual living stipend of $5,770, and a $2,362.50 education award at the end of their term of service .
