Dr. Richard Goldsby is a Professor of Biology at Amherst College, Amherst MA, and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Veterinary and Animal Sciences at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst MA. He is a world renowned immunologist interested in the cellular and molecular biology of the immune response, particularly the mechanisms underlying antibody diversity. In addition to his academic career, he has also worked as a chemist for Monsanto Organic Research and Dupont. He is currently a member of the Program in Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of Massachusetts and he is the author of Cells and Energy (1967), Race and Races (1971), Thinking AIDS (1989) and Immunology (in progress).
