Mission

The highly successful Springfield College basketball camp is designed to foster individual improvement in a climate of competitive fun. For over twenty-five years, basketball programs at Springfield College have provided a safe environment in which young people can develop fundamental skills, learn basic strategies, participate in self-help drills, meet new friends, and most importantly, have some FUN! Our staff helps create an enjoyable learning experience for each camper. We are proud of our tradition and would like to share it with you.

A Typical Day

  • 9:00 a.m. Stretching & Warm Up
  • 9:30 a.m. Stations (skill breakdown & instruction)
  • 10:45 a.m. Team Sessions & Contests
  • 11:00 a.m. Game
  • 12:00 p.m. Lunch
  • 1:00 p.m. Team Sessions
  • 1:30 p.m. Lectures & Contests
  • 2:45 p.m. Games
  • 3:15 p.m. Recreational Swimming
  • 3:45 p.m. Closing-Camper Pick-Up

The Director

Naomi Graves
Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Springfield College

Naomi Graves Coach Graves is in her eighteenth year as head women’s basketball coach and physical education associate professor at Springfield College. Under her direction, the Pride has been ranked among the top teams in New England the last several years, and has made nine-straight post season appearances. A native of Western Massachusetts, her name has become synonymous with basketball success both as a player and a coach. She is one of the leading scorers in this area’s high school history and holds records at the University of Rhode Island. She has conducted clinics in the United States and abroad and is a widely respected teacher in physical education. She was ranked 35 on the Springfield Union-News list of the top 50 Western Massachusetts athletes of the century.

The knowledgeable staff includes several experienced area high school coaches.

Day camper $249.00
*Group discount $209.00
Sibling discount $209.00

*Group discount rates are offered to five or more campers who submit their applications together in the same envelope.

Upon receipt of registration, a confirmation letter containing additional information and a medical form will be sent to you. A completed medical form, signed by a physician and proof of health insurance and immunizations is required prior to the start of the program.

This camp must comply with regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and be licensed by the local board of health.

NCAA Eligibility Rule

According to NCAA regulations, student athletes who have completed their senior year in high school are not eligilble to participate.
