Commuter Services

Dining Services

The College operates a complete dining and snack service. For complete information see page 42 in the Student Handbook.

Banking Services

Bank of America sponsors an automated teller machine located outside of Woods Hall, which is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Student ID

ID's can be obtained from the Photo ID Office located in the basement of Alumni Hall. Hours are Mon-Fri 8:30a.m.- 12:00p.m. and 1:00p.m.- 4:30p.m. If you are a new student, please bring a copy of your schedule that includes your student identification number.

Financial Aid

Information regarding financial aid can be obtained from the Financial Aid Office on the second floor of the Administration Building. For complete information see page 40 of the Student Handbook.

Parking

All motor vehicles parked on campus must be registered with the Public Safety Department. For complete information see page 30 in the Student Handbook.

Tours

Students interested in becoming more familiar with the College campus may register for a tour with the admissions Office at ext. 3136.

Areas of Interest

For information on shopping, restaurants, theatres and entertainment, log onto Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts website at www.valleyvisitor.com.

Bookstore

Campus Bookstore is located in the lower level of Woods Hall. For complete information see page 40 in the Student Handbook.

Public Telephones

There are several public telephones located throughout the campus.

The following are the locations:
  • Babson Library- Entrance 1st Floor
  • Locklin Hall- Entrance 1st Floor
  • Fuller Arts Center- Foyer
  • Beveridge Center- Front Desk, and Entrance by ATM
  • Cheney Hall- Lobby
  • Physical Education Complex- Lobby

Lockers

There are lockers in the basement of the Beveridge Center across from Conference Room 2. For more information contact Barbara Ernst in the Student Activities Office located in the Beveridge Center at ext. 3141.

Fitness Centers

There are three facilities for use by Springfield College students, faculty and staff. For complete information see pages 39-40 in the 2005-2006 Student Handbook.

Questions about fitness centers can be answered by calling ext. 3421.

Mail Services

The Springfield College Post Office provides all services that are available at any Federal Post Office. For more information on postal services contact the campus post office ext. 3876.

College E-mail

Each student is given an individual E-mail account. There is important information that is frequently communicated through college E-mail. You will need your E-mail password to access your personalized Springfield College E-mail account. For students who did not attend SOAR, you may go to the S.C. website and click on the Incoming Student Info Link. Scroll down to "check your E-mail." As a student you will "click here". If you haven't accessed you account, click on "retrieve forgotten account info" and follow instructions. You will need your student ID number. If you need further assistance you may E-mail rboucher@spfldcol.edu. Please use "Springfield College E-mail Password" in the subject line to identify your request.
