Group Exercise
Group Exercise Policies:
- All Springfield College students, faculty, and staff are eligible to participate in the Campus Recreation Group Exercise classes.
- Student, Faculty, & Staff IDs are required to participate in a class.
- No advanced registration is required and walk-ins are welcome.
- All classes will be held in the Judd Aerobics Room unless notified otherwise. Please bring your water bottles!
- The Spring Group Exercise schedule will begin on February 4th and run through May 2nd. (Pilates will start the week of 2/11).
- There will be no classes on 2/18 and 3/17-3/21. Call the Wellness Center at x3396 for changes to the schedule.
- We have a limited number of yoga mats—we encourage participants to bring their own.

Class Descriptions:
| Body Blast: | This lively circuit training style workout includes cardio conditioning, core training (abs, glutes, back, hips), strength training and flexibility. Blast through your workout! |
| Cardio Kickboxing: | This class will knock you out! Get ready to punch and kick your way to an awesome cardiovascular workout using boxing, kickboxing and martial arts techniques. |
| Classical Yoga: | Enjoy yoga's many health benefits in this twice-weekly class. Instructor Karla Geoffroy, Certified Structural Yoga Therapist, will teach appropriate modifications for both beginners & experienced students. Classes will teach comfortable alignment, improved respiration, stress release & relaxation. Flexibility is NOT a prerequisite for this class! |
| Fitness Yoga: | Connect with your body, mind and spirit in this fitness based yoga class while improving your strength and flexibility. All levels welcome. |
| Flex Mix: | This class includes a grab bag “mix” of high energy, intense cardio and strength training sequences designed to boost your energy to new heights. Step, hi/lo, dance, kickboxing—anything goes in this class! Expect something new each week. |
| Kickbox Strength: | All of the great benefits of our cardio kickboxing class with some extra resistance training thrown in. This is truly a full body workout. |
| Muscle Fit: | Strengthen your muscles, in this full body resistance training class that utilizes stability balls, bands, tubing, and dumbbells. |
| Pilates: | Created by Joseph Pilates, this class will focus on creating stronger muscles, with a focus on your core. Breathing and relaxation components are combined with exercises to help you “center” your mind and body. |
| Power Yoga: | Strengthen your mind and muscles while increasing your flexibility in this fitness based yoga class. Previous yoga experience is encouraged, but all levels are welcome. |
| Step Express: | Join us for a cardiovascular class incorporating basic step moves and fun music! |
