Basic Function:
- Under general supervision, helps to develop, promote, implement and manage alumni relations programs.
Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating, and fiscal management principles and procedures, event management, volunteer management and an understanding of the history and traditions of Springfield College. Excellent people skills and strong verbal and written communication skills are imperative. Additionally, proven organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and a keen sense of responsibility are important.
Ability to:
- Work effectively with diverse populations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
- Skill in the use of personal computers and related software programs
- Be flexible
Representative Duties:
- Provide support for the Director, Associate Director and Assistant Director of Alumni Relations
- Work closely with the staff in the planning of Family Weekend, Homecoming and Reunion
- Assist in the advising of student leadership development organizations (such as the Student Alumni Association)
- Other duties as assigned
