The newest campus of the School of Human Services began offering classes in Houston, Texas, in September 2008. In partnership with the YMCA of Greater Houston, the School utilizes the Philips Leadership Development Center on East Governors Circle in Houston for office and classroom space. It is anticipated that the Houston Campus will draw a diverse student body from Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma, with representation from human service organizations, government agencies, and community colleges from throughout the region.
Courses are offered on weekends to students seeking either bachelor’s or master’s degrees in human services. The interdisciplinary applied curriculum focuses on social analysis, critical thinking, communication skills, and leadership skills, presented in the weekend classes and immediately applied at the workplace.
We offer a bachelor's of science degree in human services.
Our master's degree of science in human services offers a concentration in:
- Organizational Management and Leadership
Undergraduate programs of the Springfield College School of Human Services are accredited by the Council for Standards in Human Service Education.

The Houston Department of Health and Human Services’ (HDHHS) managerial professionals will be eligible for credit toward their bachelor’s degrees from the Springfield College School of Human Services (SHS), with a regional campus in Houston, Texas, thanks to a new agreement between the college and the City of Houston.
