Fieldwork

Out in the field
In the fieldFieldwork, or taking your skills out of the classroom and into the world, is considered one of the most basic parts of a Springfield College education. Students in the mathematics, computer and information sciences, and mathematics and computer technology are educated not only in the latest theories and applications, but also offered "real world" work experiences in local companies, agencies, health care sites and schools.

Students are eligible for Cooperative Education assignments in their sophomore year, as long as they are in good academic standing. Typically, students will work 10 to 15 hours per week on top of academic responsibilities. A pro-active student will have an abundance of opportunities to work during the summer months and semester break.
