Dear SC Class of ’03 Alum,
Though this letter should have made its way to you over a month ago, some of us are still in denial about that fact that it really has been five years since we left SC. So much has changed; some of us have traveled far and wide, gotten married, had kids and hopefully are gainfully employed. But who wouldn’t want to step back in time…travel to campus, share great memories with some of our closest friends, have a carefree night out and actually stay up late! Our five-year reunion is right around the corner. Mark your calendars! Thursday June 12th -Sunday June 15th will be our chance to go back to the way it once was, where instead of “five” sounding like such a daunting number, it was the number of minutes it took to walk to Cheney or the amount of chili dogs you and your friends downed outside of the Alumni Club.
If you are still not convinced, here’s some food for thought:
- Every time you hear “The River” on the radio you get choked up
- Your favorite geometric shape is by far the triangle
- Gray Squirrels hold a special place in your heart
- After writing out your rent/mortgage bill, you would give anything for a night back in Gulick!
- Domino’s just isn’t the same without the use of your scan card
While you're enjoying the trip down memory lane, please also think about making a five year pledge to Springfield College to help us meet The Kresge Challenge. Currently at $35.5 million toward the $40 million goal for Leadership for the 21st Century: The Campaign for Springfield College, our contributions will help secure the $1 million grant from The Kresge Foundation if we reach $39 million by June 30, 2008. By pledging what you intend to give each year for the next five years, the entire amount counts toward The Kresge Challenge, toward the Campaign, and toward our class giving. Every dollar counts!
Keep in mind whether you can make it for one event or for the entire weekend, your presence as a member of the Class of 2003 will help to make our five year reunion one to remember. So don’t wait any longer. Get in your little red wagon and prepare for what’s sure to be a fun-filled weekend
