Dana Gambardella Full Name: Dana Gambardella

Dana is a junior majoring in English and secondary education. She is hoping to continue her studies with a master’s degree and become an eighth grade English teacher in a public school back home. She has been a member of the Partner’s Program here at Springfield College, in addition to the College’s literary magazine, The Alden Street Review. She is also a member of Sigma Tau Delta, Springfield College's own branch of the English Honor Society. This is her first year tutoring writing.





Jon Gott Full Name: Jon Gott

Jon is a physician assistant and English dual major who chose to pursue English as a second major because of his passion and appreciation for language. He has taken basic master's thesis research classes, in addition to studying abroad at Bond University in Australia, where he studied major Australian writing. Jon loves to run, play basketball, swim, kayak, and camp. He has worked for a number of years as a substitute teacher, after-school counselor, and as an aide to autistic children of all levels. He has been nominated for Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honor Society, and for the 2009 Outstanding Senior Award. His favorite book is The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.

Tracy is a junior majoring in psychology. She is from Upstate New York but loves being away at school in Massachusetts. Tracy plans to attend graduate school to become a dietitian or therapist. Her extracurricular activities include being a resident assistant in International Hall, as well as a senator for the class of 2010. She also participates in the Partner's Program. This is Tracy's first year as a writing tutor, and she is excited to work with everyone.





Brittany-Hildebrand Full Name: Brittany Hildebrand

Brittany is a junior majoring in English and secondary education with a minor in philosophy, as well. She is hoping to continue her studies with a master’s and doctorate in English education and eventually become a college professor. She has been a member of the Partner’s Program here at Springfield College in addition to the school’s literary magazine, The Alden Street Review. She is also a member of Sigma Tau Delta, Springfield College's own branch of the English Honor Society. This is her first year tutoring writing.

Kara is currently a sophomore at Springfield College who is aspiring to become a physical therapist with a minor in English. She loves to write more than anything else, and enjoys helping other students and friends with the English language and writing assignments. She has been nominated for Sigma Tau Delta, Springfield College's English Honor Society. She is an enthusiastic writer and a highly dependable person.

Peter recently changed his major to English, and began tutoring at the Academic Success Center for the first time this year. He hopes to become involved with The Alden Street Review in the near future and, after college, to find a career in the writing field.

Jessica is a senior at Springfield College, majoring in psychology with a minor in rehabilitation and disability studies. She loves being in Western Massachusetts, but has a special place in her heart for her hometown--Franklin, Mass. Jess plans on attending graduate school here at Springfield College, and eventually would like to work with children with intellectual disabilities or in a counseling setting. Jessica is and has been involved with Best Buddies and SC Singers since her first year at Springfield College. This is her second year as a writing tutor. Jess enjoys working with the students on campus and is looking forward to another great experience in the ASC this year!





Mara-Veronesi Full Name: Mara Veronesi

Mara is a second year graduate student in the School of Social Work. She has a master's degree in applied theology from Elms College. Her bachelor’s degree is in psychology from Western New England College. Mara has considerable experience in teaching and community organizing with high school and college students. She has served as a peer mentor for an online writing group. Mara is a writer and a poet, and edited Behaviors, Beliefs, and Emotions: Doctor-Patient relationships in Behavioral Optometry, which was published in 2006. She enjoys working with students.





Kim-Peterson-Zaniewski Full Name: Kim Peterson Zaniewski

Class: Graduate Student
Major/Minor: Occupational Therapy
Hometown: Princeton, N.J.
Documentation Styles: Familiar with most types of fiction and nonfiction writing, and APA formatting

Kim received an undergraduate degree from Springfield College more than twenty years ago. She is now back, working on a graduate degree in occupational therapy. In between, she graduated from Western New England College, School of Law, and practiced law in Connecticut. Kim has written and published two legal textbooks, and also has a novel, Truths Unveiled, coming out this spring.
