Priscilla Hutchins

Priscilla A. Hutchins Ed.D., University of Maine, Orono, Counselor Education, 1978. SHS Faculty Members and Mental Health Counselor Program Director, St. Johnsbury Campus; MHC Concentration Coordinator, Springfield College. Licensed Psychologist-Doctorate private practice St. Johnsbury, Vermont, 1984-2005. Physical Education, World History and Special Education teacher, Women’s College Basketball Coach, and Guidance Director, 1972-1982. Clinical supervisor for Masters and Doctoral students in psychology and/or mental health counseling as well as post degree psychologists and counselors in training, 1980-2005. Certified hypnotherapist.


SHS employs full-time faculty who are responsible for teaching, service, and scholarship. The SHS practice-oriented curriculum also includes contributions from part-time faculty who are directly involved in agency and community work. The result is that SHS has a faculty with the flexibility, resources and expertise required to address academics as well as new developments in human services practice and delivery.
