Both institutions agree as follows:

1. To perform an annual review of the pre-osteopathic medicine and other pre-professional programs, including the respective curricula.

2. To provide not less than one year’s notice of intent to terminate the agreement.

3. To honor their responsibilities under this agreement during the period of notice, should the agreement be terminated.

4. This binary degree program does not prohibit SC from entering into similar proposals with other osteopathic medicine programs outside the State of Maine or UNECOM from entering into similar agreements with other colleges or universities within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

5. The parties agree and warrant that in the performance of this agreement they will not discriminate nor permit discrimination against any person or groups of persons on the basis of race, creed, color, religion, national origin, age, or sex in any manner prohibited by federal, state and/or local law and regulations, and further that they will make their programs available to qualified individuals with disabilities consistent with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
