Springfield Sports Postponements, Cancellations
As of Wednesday (Apr. 18) at noontime, here is an update of a number of postponements and cancellations regarding baseball, softball, and men’s tennis.
THREE OF TODAY’s (WEDNESDAY’S) scheduled events have been cancelled or postponed. Here is the rundown –
BASEBALL – Wed. Apr. 18 vs. Amherst – postponed to Mon. Apr. 23 at 4 pm at home (the scheduled baseball game at Endicott that day has been cancelled)
SOFTBALL – Wed. Apr. 18 at WNEC (2) – postponed to Mon. Apr. 30 at 3:30 pm
MEN’S TENNIS – Wed., Apr. 18 vs. Holy Cross – cancelled
BASEBALL -- please note that Thursday’s (Apr. 19) home baseball game vs. Coast Guard at 3:30 pm is still on.
MEN’S TENNIS -- please note that men’s tennis is scheduled to play at Amherst Friday (Apr. 20) at 3:30 pm; that is a make-up from this past Sunday.

Head Coach Mark Simeone
Former Springfield College standout Mark Simeone in 2010 enters his 14th season as the head baseball coach at his alma mater. With Simeone calling the signals from the third-base coaching box, SC has recorded seven winning seasons, five of which eclipsed the 20-win mark. Read more.
