Union-Springfield football game webcast on D3sports.com
STERLING, Va. – September 7, 2007 – D3Sports.Com announced a partnership with D3Cast to deliver live audio and video webcasts of Division III football, basketball and baseball games, beginning with live audio and video coverage of No. 9 Springfield at Union on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 6:45 p.m. ET. The game will be available from D3football.com and D3Cast.com.
D3sports.com's audio coverage, as well as selected East Region video webcasts throughout 2007, will be presented on D3Cast.

"Pat Coleman and his staff have worked tirelessly to become the No. 1 destination for news, scores, analysis and discussion for Division III football, basketball and baseball. D3Cast is happy to be able to help provide some multimedia coverage of some of the top small-college athletics events in the country."
D3sports.com, which encompasses D3football.com, D3hoops.com and D3baseball.com, is entering its 11th season covering Division III sports. Coleman and Keith McMillan have broadcast live audio of the past eight Stagg Bowls and video of the 2006 national semifinals in conjunction with the NCAA.
"We look at D3Cast and see a lot of ourselves in what Steve Clay has accomplished. We know both organizations share a passion for Division III athletics and believe that will translate into an even better product for our combined viewership and listenership," said Coleman.
Since 2002, Bullpen Media — home of D3Cast — has provided video production, services and consulting for college sports webcasting, including successful projects for Tufts University and Stevens Institute of Technology, as well as webcasting the 2006 and 2007 Head of the Charles Regatta and producing numerous regular-season and championship webcasts for the NCAA.

Head Coach Mike DeLong
Michael C. “Mike” DeLong ’74 enters his 28th season as a head football coach in the fall of 2009. He enters his 26th year at Springfield College alone. For the past 25 years (1984 through 2008, inclusive), he has been the head coach at Springfield, his alma mater. Mike had also been the head coach at Maine Maritime in Castine, Maine in 1979 and 1980. Read more.
