Men's Tennis Duo Earns All-NEWMAC Honors
SPRINGFIELD, Mass., May 6, 2004 – Springfield College senior Brad Boisvert and junior Richard Aseltine have been named to the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) All-Conference second team in men’s tennis.
Boisvert, a native of Ponaganset, R.I., and Aseltine, who hails from Tyngsboro, Mass., were selected to the all-conference team at #3 doubles, where they held a record of 4-4.
Boisvert also played at #2 and #6 singles, and Aseltine competed primarily at #3 singles.
Other than conference champion MIT and Wheaton, SC was the only other team to be represented on the all-NEWMAC first or second teams. The Pride overcame a tough start to win three of its final five matches and finish with a 5-7 overall mark, including a 3-3 record in the conference. In the NEWMAC Tournament, SC dispatched of Clark, 4-0, in the first round before falling to MIT, 4-0, in the semifinals.

Head Coach Tim Losee

Tim Losee ’05, G’07 was named the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Springfield College in August of 2009. A former four-year member of Springfield’s men’s tennis team, Losee returns to his alma mater to pilot both the men’s and women’s tennis programs.
