Colin Cook Named NEWMAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., November 1, 2005 – Springfield College sophomore forward Colin Cook (Wilbraham, Mass.) has been awarded this week’s New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Men’s Soccer Player of the Week.

Cook, a graduate of Wilbraham & Monson, had a solid week for the Pride in which he scored two goals, including the game-winner, in a 3-0 win over non-conference foe, Western Connecticut State University (WCSU), on Wednesday evening (Oct. 26). SC handed Western Conn. just its fourth loss of the season in that match.

Cook is currently tied for first on the team in assists (two), second in goals scored (three), second in shots attempted (24) and third in points (eight).

Cook and the Pride will travel to Clark University tomorrow night (Nov. 2) to take on the Cougars in the first-round of the NEWMAC tournament at 6:00 p.m.
