Northampton, Mass. - October 13, 2007 -- The Springfield College women's tennis team was led by Danielle Lamb (Wells, Vt.), as she was able to pull out the win in her singles match for the Pride this past Saturday against Smith College but it was not enough as the Pride fell by a score of 7-2.
Springfield also received solid contributions by Shannon Desroches (Belchertown, Mass.) and Jessica Sousa (Falmouth, Mass.), who teamed up to win their doubles match. Unfortunately, those were the only two wins for Springfield on the afternoon.
With the loss Springfield is now 2-9 and 1-6 in the conference.
