Women's Tennis Wins Third Straight By Defeating Salve Regina, 6-3
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. Sept. 29, 2002 – The Springfield College women’s tennis team won its third straight match to up its record to 3-5 on the season behind senior captain Liz Poulin (Waterville Maine/Waterville) as SC defeated Salve Regina, 6-3, at Appleton Courts.
Poulin defeated Meg DeMichiel, 6-2, 6-1 in first singles competition and the SC captain teamed with junior Melissa Boyington (Vernon, Conn./Rockville) scoring an 8-2 win over DeMichiel and Katie Wright in No. 1 doubles play.

Tim Losee ’05, G’07 was named the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Springfield College in August of 2009. A former four-year member of Springfield’s men’s tennis team, Losee returns to his alma mater to pilot both the men’s and women’s tennis programs.
