Women's Gymnastics Falls In Tri-Meet At MIT
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., March 9, 2004 - Springfield College freshman Keriann Hart (Hanover, Mass.) compiled 36.175 points in the all-around competition on her way to a third-place finish, but the Pride fell to MIT and Brown University in a tri-meet on Tuesday (March 9) held at the Johnson Athletic Center.
Brown (10-7) won the tri-meet as they finished with 188.975 total team points; MIT was second in the competition, finishing with 180.700 points. SC was right behind MIT, finishing with 180.175 team points.
SC sophomore Lyndsay Roy (North Andover, Mass.) turned in a third-place performance on the vault (9.300). Senior Jenny Romano-Joseph (Shutesbury, Mass.) finished with a 9.400 mark in the floor exercise, which was good for a third-place tie.
Brown senior Gina Verge led the way for the Bears, finishing first in the all-around competition with a 38.050 score.
The Pride falls to 8-10 after the tri-meet and will next be at the ECAC Championships at SUNY Brockport on Saturday, March 20.
