Springfield College Hosts the 2007 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship March 16-17
2007 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship WebsiteSPRINGFIELD, Mass. – March 11, 2007 – Tickets to Springfield College, the final destination of the 2007 NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Championship, have been punched. Over the past weekend, four teams fought their way through to win sectionals in Boston, New York City, Scranton, Pennsylvania, and Decorah, Iowa.
The four teams coming to town to play in the “final four” contests include #6-ranked NYU of Manhattan, #9-ranked DePauw University of Greencastle, Indiana, #10-ranked University of Mary Washington of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and #11-ranked Washington University of St. Louis, Missouri. On Friday, March 16 at Springfield College’s Blake Arena, Semifinal game #1 will feature DePauw (29-3) versus Mary Washington (30-2) at 4 pm. Semifinal game #2 will feature NYU (27-2) vs. Washington University of St. Louis (24-5) at 6 pm.
On Saturday, there will be a consolation game at 12:30 pm, followed by the Championship game at 3 pm. The championship game will be televised nationally by CSTV (please check your local listings).
Tickets are on sale now. All seating will be general admission. A one-day pass (two games) will cost $10. The four teams advancing to Springfield College have received 250 tickets for each day. If you are a fan of one of those advancing teams, please attempt to purchase tickets through that institution prior to calling or faxing Springfield College.
If you would like to purchase tickets, you can do so by either going to Springfield College’s Web site at www.springfieldcollege.edu, clicking onto the peach basket logo, then onto “Tickets.” Tickets may be ordered in advance by credit card only by clicking onto the “Ticket Purchase Form” on that page. That Ticket Purchase Form must be faxed no later than Wednesday, March 14 to 413-748-3855.
The second way to purchase tickets is by phone at 413-748-3568. Please contact the Ticket Manager at that number Monday through Thursday, from 9 am to 4 pm.
All advance sale tickets will be held at the Box Office at Blake Arena under Will Call. A picture ID must be presented at Will Call to pick up advance sale tickets. Individuals with accessibility issues should contact the ticket manager.
For walk-up sales (CASH ONLY), the Ticket Office at Blake Arena will be open Monday, March 12 to Thursday, March 15 from 9 am to 4 pm. Walk-up sales will also be available on days of games. The doors to Blake Arena will open Friday at 1 pm, on Saturday at 10 am.

Head Coach Naomi Graves
Entering her 19th season as head coach in 2009-10, Naomi Graves has directed her squads to an impressive 266-117 record (.695 winning percentage) since joining the Division III ranks in 1995. Graves has led the Pride to eleven post-season bids in the past 14 years, including five berths in the NCAA Division III Tournament in the past nine years.
