Springfield College Football Media/Photo Day Set For August 21 at 2:00 PM
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – August 20, 2008 – Springfield College will host its annual Football Media/Photo Day tomorrow – Thurs., August 21 – at 2 pm at Stagg Field.Members of the media are invited to interview Head Football Coach Mike DeLong or any other member of the coaching staff or any player at that time. All members of the team are expected to be present. The session is expected to last at least until 3 pm, if not longer.
Springfield will once again scrimmage Westfield State this season. The two teams will square off on Wednesday, August 27 at 6 pm at Westfield State.

Head Coach Mike DeLong
Michael C. “Mike” DeLong ’74 enters his 28th season as a head football coach in the fall of 2009. He enters his 26th year at Springfield College alone. For the past 25 years (1984 through 2008, inclusive), he has been the head coach at Springfield, his alma mater. Mike had also been the head coach at Maine Maritime in Castine, Maine in 1979 and 1980. Read more.
