Women's Cross Country Places Third at Keene State Invitational
KEENE, N.H., -- October 2, 2004 – Springfield College junior Meg Young (Hurley, N.Y.) placed first at the Keene State Invitational to help lead the Pride to a third-place finish this afternoon.
Young finished with a time of 19:01 on the afternoon, while freshman Alyssa Brigham (Penacook, N.H.) clocked in with a time of 20:20 on the five-kilometer course for a 16th place finish.
SC returns to action on October 8 when it runs in the New England Championship at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass.

Jim Pennington enters his 26th season as head coach of the Springfield College women’s cross country and track and field teams in 2009-2010. Under Pennington’s direction, the Pride has recorded seven top 20 finishes at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships, and seven top 15 finishes at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
