Women's Tennis Falls to Wheaton, 9-0
SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Oct. 9, 2004 - Wheaton College sophomore Ashley Kriwinsky (Munson, Ohio) and sophomore Jaime Weiss (Chicago, Ill.) both won their singles and doubles matches to defeat Springfield College, 9-0, in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) women's tennis match this afternoon at Appleton Courts.
Kriwinsky won her #1 singles match by a score of 6-2, 6-0, and Weiss won at #2 singles, 6-4, 6-3. The two paired up in #1 doubles to win 8-2.
SC falls to 3-8 (0-6 NEWMAC) while the Lyons improve to 6-5 (2-5 NEWMAC). SC is back in action when it hosts Mount Holyoke on Tuesday, Oct. 12, in its last home match of the 2004 season.

Tim Losee ’05, G’07 was named the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Springfield College in August of 2009. A former four-year member of Springfield’s men’s tennis team, Losee returns to his alma mater to pilot both the men’s and women’s tennis programs.
