SCSU Tops Men's Swimming and Diving, 164-130
Complete ResultsNEW HAVEN, Conn. – October 27, 2007-- The Springfield College men's swimming and diving team fell to Southern Connecticut, 164-130, on Saturday afternoon.
Matt Manoni (Brookfield, Conn.) took first place in the 50 freestyle in 21.81 followed by teammate Greg Pearsall (Litchfield, Conn.) with a time of 22.53.
Ryan Mackstutis (Torrington, Conn.) picked up a pair of wins in the 100 breaststroke (1:01.53) and 200 breaststroke (2:17.14).
The Pride also placed first in the 400 freestyle relay as the team of Anthony Bruno (Southbury, Conn.), Andrew Blakesley (West Springfield, Mass.), Pearsall, and Manoni touched in a time of 3:17.86.
Springfield returns to action on Sunday afternoon when it squares off against the Boston College Eagles at 12:00 p.m.
