Adam Duplisea of Husson and Fernando Pineres of Babson both shot a 72. Duplisea became the medalist when he birdied the first playoff hole.
For Springfield, junior Greg Levings (Averill Park, N.Y.) and junior Mike LaJoie (Enfield, Conn.) both shot an 81, tying for 18th place. Sophomore Aaron Simons (Enfield, Conn.) tied for 21st with an 82. Junior Cody Morrison (Plymouth, Mass.) tied for 36th with an 85. Junior Bryan Andersen (Enfield, Conn.) tied for 38th with an 86.
Springfield will next compete at a tourney next Tuesday (April 22) hosted by Worcester State at Sterling Golf Club in Sterling, Massachusetts.
The reigning NECC Golf Coach of the Year, Joe Eadie enters his 16th season as the head men's golf coach at Springfield College in the fall of 2009. Eadie is the head golf professional at the Fenway Golf Range in nearby East Longmeadow, and is in the process of becoming a PGA Professional. Read more.
