Women's Cross Country Finishes Sixth At ECAC Championship
Williamstown, Mass., Nov. 9, 2002--Springfield College freshman Meghan Young (Hurley, N.Y.) ran to an eighth-place finish out of 225 runners at the ECAC Division III Women’s Cross Country Championship at Williams this afternoon.
The Pride finished sixth overall in the 43-team field. Williams captured the team title.
Young, who was named to the All-ECAC team, completed the eight-kilometer run in a time of 24:23.7. Sophomore Jenn Saucier (Derry, N.H.) finished 23rd with a time of 25:18.1, and senior Kelley Henry (Whitinsville, Mass.) finished 42nd with a time of 25:48.7 to help boost the Pride to a total of 238 team points.
