

In a meet comprised almost entirely of Division I competition, Brigham finished the 5,000 meter course in 18:35. Teammate Lacey Cartier (York, Maine) finished in 43rd place in a time of 18:49. Rounding out the afternoon for the Pride was Amanda DiPaolo (Garrison, N.Y.) in 64th place (19:09), and Jess Borsotti (Northampton, Mass.) in 107th (20:08).
Amanda Mullen (Claremont, N.H.) finished in a time of 20:35 for the Pride.
The Pride return to action at the NEWMAC Championships on October 27. The Championships will be held at Smith College in Northampton, Mass.
Jim Pennington enters his 26th season as head coach of the Springfield College women’s cross country and track and field teams in 2009-2010. Under Pennington’s direction, the Pride has recorded seven top 20 finishes at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships, and seven top 15 finishes at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
