

WORCESTER, Mass., April 1, 2006 - Springfield College sophomore Chris Healy (Weymouth, Mass.) and senior All-American Taylor Brown (Portsmouth, R.I.) each scored three goals as the Pride cruised past Clark University, 15-3, in SC's Pilgrim Leauge opener this afternoon in Worcester, Mass.
The Pride scored five of the game's first six goals and never looked back, taking an 11-2 lead into the break. With the win, SC raises its record to 4-3 overall and 1-0 in the Pilgrim League, as the Cougars fall to 3-3 and 0-2 in the Pilgrim. The Pride has now won two consecutive games.
Freshman forward Jake Beebe (Sudbury, Mass.) and senior midfielder Brandon Asplundh (Bryn Athyn, Pa.) each chipped in with two goals apiece in the win for SC.
Also adding scores on the day were freshmen Pat Cavanaugh (Wayland, Mass.), Chris Jez (Somers, Conn.), Skyler Wiemokly (Amherst, Mass.), Jake Jones (Amherst, Mass.), and Dave Vaccaro (Southington, Conn.).
The Pride will next host Wheaton College in yet another Pilgrim League contest on Saturday afternoon, April 8, in a 3:00 p.m. start.
