Thibeault and Peltier Pick Up D3Kicks.com All-Region Honors
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — February 4, 2008 -- A pair of Springfield College soccer players were recently honored by D3kicks.com as members of the All-New England Region Team.

Kayla Thibeault and Lauren Peltier picked up the honors this season after an outstanding campaign for head coach John Gibson.

Thibeault was also named to the 2007 NSCAA/adidas NCAA Division III All-New England Region First Team, while Peltier was named to the Third Team.

A native of Lebanon, Conn., Thibeault continued to make an impact in her second season for the Pride. Thibeault is one of the most decorated athletes on the team as the shutdown defender, and was a NEWMAC All-Conference First Team recipient for the second straight season. She chipped in with three goals and four assists this year.

A local product from Agawam, Mass., Peltier helped control the pace of the game for the Pride at the center midfield position. Peltier recorded six goals and a pair of assists this season, and led the team with four game-winning goals. She was also honored as a NEWMAC All-Conference Second Team pick.
