Golf Third At NEWMAC Championships

WELLESLEY, Mass., Oct. 13, 2003 -- Springfield College finished third in the four-team field at the 2003 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Men's Golf Championships held today at Wellesley Country Club.

Three SC golfers earned all-conference honors. Tyson Briggs (t7th/85), Paul Chmura (t7th/85) and Bryan Chiravolo(t7th/85) were all selected to the nine-member all-NEWMAC squad.

Other SC golfers competing were Marc Saracino (t10th/87) and Mike Regan (13th/89).

Babson won its sixth straight conference title, edging MIT by three strokes.
