

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- May 16, 2008 – The second day of the ECAC Division III Men's and Women's Track & Field Championships at Springfield College's Blake Track is now complete. Weather conditions today went from overcast when the competition started, to a light rain, to a heavy rain throughout the remainder of the afternoon.
Morovian with 88 team points is the ECAC Champion, with Cortland State second (60), and host Springfield third (52).

Moravian's Ozzie Brown was a clear choice for the ECAC Outstanding Male Performer of the Meet. The senior finished first in three events -- the 200 meters with a time of 21.62, the 110 high hurdles (14.31), and the long jump (23' 3 1/2"). He also finished second in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.82.
From a Springfield College point of view, sophomore Steve Headley (Wilbraham, Mass.), seeded second, finished first in the 100 meter dash with an NCAA provisional qualifying time and personal best time of 10.63.
