

SPRINGFIELD, Mass (December 11, 2007) - Senior Chris Sharpe and junior Jake Beebe were tabbed 2008 Preseason All-American Honorable Mention selections by Inside Lacrosse’s Face-Off Yearbook, announced this week.
Beebe, a native of Sudbury, Mass., led the team last season with 26 goals and 28 assists for 54 total points of offense. A 2007 Pilgrim League First Team selection, Beebe's 28 assists led the league. The junior attack man also finished third in points and tied for fifth in goals. Beebe was also named the 2006 NEILA Division III New England Rookie of the Year.
A senior long-stick midfielder Sharpe, a native of Derry, N.H., also landed on the Pilgrim League First Team in scoring one goal and two assists to go along with a team-high 48 ground balls. In 2006, Sharpe was named Second Team All-Pilgrim League and Second Team NEILA Division III All-New England.
The Pride will open up the 2008 campaign on Wednesday, February 27 when it plays hosts to Endicott. Face-off is slated for 4:00 pm
Keith Bugbee enters his 27th season as head men's lacrosse coach at Springfield College in 2010. Under his direction, the Pride is one of the top programs in the country. Bugbee's coaching record stands at an impressive 279-133 (.675 winning percentage). Read more.
