

A native of Stamford, Conn., Blackmon was sensational as he lead the Pride to a 79-77 victory over No. 25 Rhode Island College. For the Pride, it was the second time this season that it had defeated a team ranked in the top-25 in the nation. The sophomore guard went 7-of-14 from the field, including 3-of-5 from beyond the arc en route to a game-high 21 points. He also added four rebounds and a pair of assists in the win.
In the Pride's other contest during the week, Blackmon chipped in with seven points and five rebounds in the Pride's loss to Connecticut College on Tuesday night.
Blackmon and the Pride return to action on December 30 when they host Gustavus Adolphus at 2:00 pm.
Charlie Brock in 2008-09 will enter his 11th season as the head coach at Springfield College.
