LAKE CANE, Fla.-- March 15, 2007 - After losing two of the three doubles matches Springfield College men's tennis team came up short against Merrimack, in a closely contested 5-4 match, completing its spring break trip to Florida.
The Pride split in singles, winning three of the six matches, with senior Alex Kosicki (Brooklyn, N.Y.) winning in dramatic fashion 4-6, 6-3, (10-7). Also winning for the Pride in singles were freshman Trevor Romanzi (Bayshore, N.Y.) and sophomore Bobby Schlink (Quaker Hill, Conn).
The Pride was victorious in one doubles match in which Guy Lepore (Bayshore, N.Y.) and Tim Tunis (Sudbury, Mass.) defeated their opponents, 8-4.
