Men's Cross Country Takes 14th Place at UAlbany Invitational

Albany, N.Y. - October 13, 2007 -- Mike Griffin (Scarborough, Maine.) finished 11th out of 229 runners at the UAlbany Invitational to lead the Springfield College men's cross country team to a 14th place finish out of 26 teams on Saturday.

In a meet comprised almost entirely of Division I competition, Griffin crossed the finish line in 25:29 to lead the way for the Pride. Brian Fuller (Ludlow, Mass.) was the next finisher for Springfield in 60th place while Jeff Bartlett (West Newbury, Mass.) finished in 89th.

Troy French (Antrim, N.H) (97th) and Mike DeCrescenzo (New Milford, Conn.) (101) rounded out the scoring for the Pride on the afternoon.

The Pride return to action at the NEWMAC Championships on October 27. The Championships will be held at Smith College in Northampton, Mass.
